Dallas
Regan, Flo, Danielle and Becca hosted our little lumberjack-outdoorsy themed shower. I loved their ideas and since they suggested everyone wear plaid, we got some really cute pics! We had a small group in attendance which made it really personal and gave us lots of time to catch up with the friends we don't get to see very often. The decor was adorable, the food was super cute and theme-appropriate (chili with fixings and trail mix!), and the games were a blast!
Kerrville
We had another small gathering with the immediate family in Kerrville, where everyone pitched in to make it a success. This time, they capitalized on the fishing aspect of outdoorsy-ness and had a fishing themed shower! Eric's highlight was Jacob receiving his first fishing pole! I loved their idea of having everyone sign the Dr. Seuss book, "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" for Jacob's little library. The decor was perfect, with gummy worms in a tackle box, Oma J got cupcakes decorated like a fish and Aunt Vicki made a 4-Wheeler Diaper Cake!
[waiting for Kerrville pics.....] :)
Houston
Our final shower was by far the biggest, with probably about 50 guests in attendance. With a family my size, it's hard to keep it small ;) Fortunately, we had 10 gracious hosts that pulled off everything seamlessly. Fadya led the charge and coordinated the group of hostesses with the mostestesses. Huge thank-you to Mom, Sharon, Yaya, Lori, Brittany, Brooke, Vicki, Liz and Emma for bringing me to absolute tears and pulling together a beautiful shower! The rustic/deer/outdoors theme was carried uninterrupted throughout the whole house and backyard. It's impossible to pick a favorite part of the shower--I loved everything about it! The guys were mostly in charge of cooking the 230 lbs of crawfish/20 lbs of shrimp/10 lbs of blue crab. With my Baby Daddy in charge, the crawfish were delicious as always! What an incredible day celebrating our little man that we will never forget!
